Marriage Resources
Marriage is the first institution created by God and the foundation of the family. We value marriage as the most important relationship other than your relationship with the Lord. Throughout the year, FBCF will offer workshops, events, Bible studies, and more opportunities for godly growth in your relationships.
Pre-Marital and Marital Christian Counseling
God created marriage to display His glory and to bring His creatures joy. Through this gift, we are called to consider not only God’s covenantal love but also His incredible patience and unconditional mercy toward His beloved. Because this takes effort and intentionality, we strongly encourage engaged couples to supplement their marriage preparation through formal premarital Christian counseling at least six months before their wedding.
All couples about to be married are taken through a program called FOCCUS: Facilitating Open Couple Communication, Understanding & Study. Some topics we cover are Family of Origin, Intimacy, Religion, Spirituality, Value, Communication, Readiness Issues, Problem Solving, Parenting Issues, Friends, and Interests.
