Widows

What to Expect

Our widows ministry exists to equip and serve the widows of our Church to actually follow Jesus in every circumstance of every day. We do this in three ways: care, connection, and equipping.

Caring

When someone becomes a widow, our team jumps into action by providing care boxes. Each box offers resources and comfort items to let the woman know she is loved and being prayed for by our team. The care boxes don’t stop just with one, but each year for the first three years, our team supplies these ladies with a box to let them know she is still loved and cared for. In addition to the care boxes, in conjunction with our deacons, we host a banquet for our widows with great food, live entertainment, and special gifts.

Connection:

Our team has a group of ladies specifically designed to contact and connect with our widows to ensure they have emotional, spiritual, and physical support. This can look like anything from a card in the mail to taking care of things around the house.

Equipping:

We work to equip our widows by offering a LifeGroup specifically for them, two workshops each year that will address unique issues that widows face, and a focused class that uses the Bible to show how to live a Godly life in this season of life.
