What to Expect

For Boys and Girls entering grades K5 through 6th Grade.

  • 6 on 6 Flag Football League (for boys and girls)
  • Cheer for girls
  • One practice a week with an 8-game season

League Information

Upward Flag Football and Cheer provides a positive sports experience for every child and makes the most of your family's time and money. Children have fun, are encouraged, and learn life lessons in addition to mastering the fundamentals of the sport. Cost includes game day uniform.


2025 Registration Information

Practices begin the week of August 17 (Sun, Mon, Thurs evenings)
Games will be on Saturdays, September - October

Cost is $100 pp. Registration opens June 1 - July 30.


Evaluations

All football players and cheerleaders are required to attend one evaluation date. You must be registered online prior to the evaluation. Evaluations will be located in the gym and the Mall of FB Forney.

  • Monday, July 21, 6:30 - 8:00 pm
  • Saturday, July 26, 10:00 - 11:30 am
  • Wednesday, July 30, 6:30 - 8:00 pm


Practices

Practices are weekly between 5:30 pm and 8:30 pm on Sunday, Monday, and Thursday from Sunday, Aug. 17 to Thursday, Oct. 23.

Coaches will provide specific practice dates for each team.

Why Flag Football and Cheerleading?

Why Upward Flag Football and Upward Cheerleading?

Football is a sport that many more children want to play, but are too young or not interested in the contact of tackle football. Upward Flag Football and Upward Cheerleading offer a break from the norm. The primary focus of Upward is to develop the Winner in EVERY child, not just a few. FBC Forney offers Upward Football and Cheerleading for eight weeks beginning in September.
